The pictures by Markus Krön show the cultural landscape of the Alpine foothills. The first impression is of an almost realistic approach, which not only shows human intervention in nature, but often makes it a prominent eye-catcher. In addition to the naturalism in the landscape and the obviousness of the construction, the pictures also have a very intimate look. Despite the sobriety and cool colouring, Krön creates a level that goes beyond observation, in which the characteristics of the idyll shine through again and again. Krön, who grew up in the foothills of the Alps and is now a big-city man, notes from the present the everyday life of the past, which does not require any tourist falsification or prettification. He brings associative levels together and thus shows in his pictures in all their presence the longing for a harmonious moment in the opposite.
